Our favourite moments from Tiger Who Came To Tea

The Tiger Who Came To Tea is a lovely outing for families and is definitely a tick on your list of things to do in Weston Super Mare, it is a great way to gently introduce little ones to the theatre.

Here are some of our favourite moments from the Tiger Who Came To Tea:

  • The attractive kitchen set, it looks like a drawing come to life and matches the original sixties setting, where milkmen still deliver.

  • We love how the tiger magically makes items disappear as he munches his way through cakes and packets and tins.

  • We enjoyed watching Sophie and her parents arrive on stage. The tick-tocking of the clock hanging on the kitchen wall takes them through that very eventful day in the otherwise peaceful home of Sophie and her parents.

  • We loved the build up of suspense just before the tea-guzzling tiger enters the stage - Not a scary roary tiger but a polite gentleman who bows and kisses hands, dances and offers flowers.

  • We enjoyed watching Sophie’s daddy, who is delightfully dysfunctional. He is always in a panic to leave for work, trying to put his shoes in the toaster and grabbing a tea cosy instead of his hat.

  • We loved singing along to the sing a long’s and even interacting and being a part of this spectacular play!
